Thanksgiving 2012

We spent a great Thanksgiving in Delta!  I don't know what I would do if I had to be in charge of the turkey instead of some random side dish.  Probably call my mom a million times and it would still come out dry.  We had a fun little set up in the living room.

Kenny helped my mom color and put these cute turkey name cards at everyones seat.

We finished the day by playing cards and croquet.  I loved that the weather was warm enough for us to play outside.

This little buddy was quite warn out from all the fun that he had.

We headed over to Richfield on Friday to see Grandpa and Grandma Great Wilkinson who were down visiting Grandma and Grandpa J.  I love Josh's grandparents and it makes me happy to listen to Grandpa Great tell stories about meeting Grandma and the war and his growing up years.  He does this thing where he closes his eyes while telling the story and it's like its replaying in his mind.  Love it.

Later that night we went out to eat.  Always an adventure with kids and Lawson was a busy boy that night!

All in all it was a great Thanksgiving and I am truly thankful for all my many blessings and the families that Josh and I are blessed with.

Riding Family Christmas Party

I am writing this from my phone so I hope it works. We had the Riding family Christmas party the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It's become a tradition to do that and it works our great. We had so much fun and the kids had a great time. Lawson did great and didn't even cry when he sat on Santa's lap. Connor was convinced that it wasn't the real Santa because he brought the presents in a garbage bag and not a 'real' bag. It was a bittersweet party without my Aunt Cinda there. She is deeply missed and it feels strange to not have her there.
I love my family and always look forward to spending time with them.
